Naming the New University

The Ministry of Education invites you to suggest a name for the new university!

Singapore's new publicly-funded university will open its doors to students in 2011. It will provide rigorous and high-quality innovative degree programmes to students who want to learn across disciplines, hone their entrepreneurial skills, and be well-prepared for successful careers in the global knowledge economy.

Suggested names should be befitting of a premier educational institution in Singapore, and could reflect the qualities we hope to see in the new university and its students.

The naming exercise will end on 30 November 2008. Your suggestions will be put up to the New University Steering Committee for consideration.

We look forward to receiving your suggestions!

The ideas:
lee uni
Victoria University of Singapore
republic of singapore of raffles university
Provisional China University of singapore
Loyang University
Gay Uni
Ngee Ann university
Bapok Uni of Changi
Hwa Chong university
Republic of Singapore University
Ang Moh university
Fantastic University
Raffles University of Singapore
Sang Nila Utama Uni
LKY university

My suggestion : ripped off from a conversation

Singapore Technological Frontier University

Took a hiatus

Nothing much significant to blog about

Passed week had national day and Olympics , comparing both , our ndp is like a school performance compared to the big O , kudos to Beijing !

This coming week organizing a 13 years later chongfu primary 6A gathering from 6 - 8pm.
wonder how would it go o_O
This would fulfill one of my secondary targets set previously

This weekend also got career fair by jobs central and collection of SBR goodie pack ! bz coming Saturday!

physiological needs

I have a problem breathing
you aren't aware of a need until you are deprived of it..

The cause of it ? Not quite sure but varies according to a few people.
I went to visit polyclinic but at 4.20 and they close @ 4.15 .... WTF!
then i went around my neighbourhood to see if any private practice docs are available. that timing most are closed for dinner. then while walking home , i chanced upon this Eu yang seng's TCM. So i thought why not ?

After looking @ my tongue and felt my pulse , asking whether i am constipated , he diagnosed me as too "heaty" cos i drank 6 packets of milo a day , eat chocolates and eat too much chili. He gave me acupuncture which was more or less useless and then some bitter medicine which had only temporary relief (for only 1/2 hours) , worse was that the bill was $52.50 , i doubt i would ever go back to TCM ever again. They only treat the symptom and not the problem itself.

i went polyclinic today and the doc said i had a nasal infection , probably sensitive nose that got irritated by something , i attribute it to my dusty environment (cos i live next to a main road) and probably that i gained a bit of weight . i need to lose weight + try to make my bedroom more comfortable to live in (which is quite dry too)

hopefully this will revive a virtuous healthy cycle that will see me exercising more , recovering faster and overall be healthier

the Dark Knight

Lets see who is bruce wayne really ?

The List

1. Santa Claus
2. Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks
3. Richie Rich
4. Lex Luthor
5. C. Montgomery Burns
6. Scrooge McDuck
7. Jed Clampett
8. Bruce Wayne
9. Thurston Howell III
10. Willy Wonka
11. Arthur Bach
12. Ebenezer Scrooge
13. Lara Croft
14. Cruella De Vil
15. Lucius Malfoy

the 8th richest person in fiction (tao kay), a dark knight , a student (mentor being alfred) , an ex-lover(to that girl rachel), an adversary ( to baddies) , someone cool ( to the 2 boys who shoot using their handgun )

but the star of the show is unanimously still the joker

the joker is very good with action-reaction

(eg . when everyone was guarding the mayor , the sniper would react to the first glimpse of light and hence shoot batman)

Too bad he sucked when it comes to game theory ( the 2 boats with many people ) - prisoner's dilemma

moral integrity of both sides overcome personal greed and let to a pareto optimum outcome

a win win situation

he merely glanced at the floor ignoring my presence.

then he looked up and i looked at him
