On the Eve met with pri sch/dota friends and played pictionary @ jieting house , although so long also never chat irl people , they don't really mind my presence , feel just like him.

on christmas day , joined agnes and watched her perform her sketch @ her church then moved on to play cluedo @ her house and enjoyed her delicious pasta + pizza.
<3ing it . george sent us to tampines mrt after that. 大姐 was so hard working
her family interesting , Youngest sister is called Grace , which happens to emcompass the initials of all of the other members George , Robin , Agnes , Charis , Esther . coincidence ?

that night went to meet up with ws , anna , hy ,and friends @ anna house for taboo
though i was watching tv half the time though , witch yoo hee was showing so can't blame me

today met pehnado from maju camp de on train , so chat a while and exchange contacts.

Surprises aplenty

Was wondering if agnes wanted to form a study group with me , then to my surprise , she is inviting me over later today for a home party

Then out of the blue , Angi asked me what colour i like , so i said blue , and she bought a macdonalds shirt thats 2 sizes too small(wear liao sibeh tight fit) , but its the thought that counts.

Then called charlene to thrash out one OT assignment thats due next year , although not finalised , but my answer structure is firm already, thx to her.

Going to meet Aldrich + his gf and henry for new year countdown @ some pub , feels good to have some1 who doesn't drink @ pub lol... but $10 per fruit punch is >.<

Ancient Chinese Feudalism : Warlords

didn't know what to blog but after reading edward's blog , i got intrigued by edward's post

so i decided to blog about warlords using sociology ideas
went to watch the show on thursday with anna , haiyin , weesin and his friend weili.

basically the story's excitement is in the 1st part , and the drama is in the 2nd part.

We have many roles in our life , role of "brother" , roles of soldier , role of lover , role of a bandit, etc. So when we take up different roles , we would act differently in a given situation. In a situation whereby a person is made to choose between 2 options that are of conflicting interest , the choice would tend towards the role that the person has internalised.

Like if jet li values the role of "brother" > role of soldier or in his case general , he would not have defied andy lau's wishes to stick to his side of the bargain of freeing the 4000 soldiers . Apparently , he internalised his role as a general deep within him and silenced the role of "brother".

There are other parts worthy of discussion too.

jetli is considered an outsider for many a reason , he doesn't belong to the group , he doesn't intend to reproduce the culture paced by other governors ( requested for 3 years tax-free status which shocked many a representive). China's society then and now is still dependent on "关系" as opposed to US's meritocratic society. Without close "关系" to other officials or the empress herself , he has no staying power at all

the part that i feel silly is the introduction of a "love story"
if u want , make it 火辣辣 by giving it lots of action.
WHOLE OF ANCIENT CHINA the 3 brudders only like one girl ?
removing the "love story" and giving it more action scenes better lar.

outlook for the next 2 weeks :

odd weekday post

Was bashing away bleach on my ndsl on my way home from tuition today when i saw this kid leaning towards me staring @ my screen

i switched it off and he looked @ my face with a *why you switch it off look*

so i switched it on again and introduced to him brain age

he look fresh out of nursery but his maths is good for his age!

of cos then i realised later its bcos his sister was whispering the answer to him...

when it was like cck mrt , the mum told them to thank me and they made their way out

the 10pm show witch yoo hee on channel U is good.
a complex <3 web though.

the main character youxi can't decide between her ex (senior in high sch) or jhonny a chef , but i think she finds herself subconsciously falling for her (Wulong) attendant as even though he seems to be matchmaking jhonny (his headchef @ a place he works part time in) he pours in too much care for her that even his gf shengmei got jealous

the main character ... looks like a 16 year old in a 24 year old body, she should forget her past and work her way towards her future.
jhonny should be more decisive , follow his heart !
that senior should buzz off ! 好马不吃回头草!
shengmei should voice out her insecurity and not let it go
that Wulong should be showing sm with attention , he doesn't know how to draw the line between work and affairs of the heart !

Deindivuation

Do you affect your group more , or do you lose yourself to your group ?

an example is like ,if everyone eats late lunch in the office , just because the first one to go would be deemed " too free"

then would you follow everyone to eat late lunch ?

another example would be , if every1 in the lift was facing the door when you go in

then every1 except you turn around and face the other direction , staring at you

would you follow every1 ? or would you continue as you did

Deindividuation is a state of lowered self-awareness, a temporary loss of personal identity resulting from becoming part of a group, such as an army or a mob, but it can also occur in situations wherein people feel anonymous. It can have very destructive effects, sometimes making people more likely to commit a crime (Diener, 1976), or leading policemen to use excessive force in an arrest. Deindividuation has been hypothesized as a major cause of rioting, such as the violent rioting occurred in the 1992 riots in south central Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. Because people in a deindividuated mental state lose awareness of themselves, they ignore external evaluation of themselves by other people, and are unrestrained by their normal inhibitions. Deindividuation occurs when one loses one's social identity and behaves in a manner in which one usually would not behave (Nelson, 2005).

Tuition : Undergoing rate bargaining and resuming now , hope to push @ least 10 % increase for all

Digital entertainment : too many le , no time for wii , spending too much time on counter strike and dota , ndsl
probably try to sell off wii , cut down times on cs and dota to 4 hours a week. NDSL no change.

Others nightlife : Milkshake or zoukout 07!

Academics : OT : going to spend more effort on this now , test coming up on monday
ICP : preview , review all going well , not so much for study group though

friends : sec sch , catch up with a steamboat next week ( as requested by wenqi zeh zeh !) , movie this weekend , xmas party too ?

uni : get to know charlene more for OT that side , then the whole ICP group.

Fitness : 21 cleared , but 42km wait till i clear 21km under 2:30 first then consider.

inline skating : pick up @ end of year , weiming says xianzhong tell him year end got blade sales =o

reduce weight to 72.0567

BMI = weight / (height²)

so if i want to be under 23 , my weight needs to be under 72.0567 when my height is 177cm.

oh and i got over a crush too =( liberated !!! =D
